WAYS TO GIVE
The William D. Roe President's Leadership Class Scholarship fund helps selected high school student leaders from Houston, Texas, reduce their out-of-state tuition gap during their freshman year at The University of Oklahoma.
There are several ways to donate the William D. Roe Scholarship Fund.
Please note that all gifts are 100% tax-deductible.
1. You can go online to the OU Foundation's website and under "Designations" select "Search Other OU Foundation Funds" and type in "William D. Roe PLC Endowed Scholarship" in the search bar.

2. You can transfer funds directly to the OU Foundation's brokerage accounts. See below (Gifts of Security) for more info.
3. You can send a check. Please make checks payable to the University of Oklahoma Foundation Inc. with "William D. Roe PLC Endowed Scholarship, Fund #42602" in the memo line and mail to:

GIFTS OF SECURITY
Please see below for more information about transferring a gift security to the fund through the OU Foundation's brokerage accounts.
Definition: Marketable stocks, bonds, mutual funds, IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)
Policy: Securities typically sold after receipt.
Donor notifies the Foundation of donor's name, name of stock or bond, number of shares or bond's face value, intended transfer date, intended use of gift.
Send notification prior to/concurrent with transfer.
Valuation is the average of high and low stock price on gift date.
Gift date is determined by postmark, date of hand delivery or broker transfer to the Foundation if stock is in donor's name or by date on stock certificate if reissued to the Foundation.
Note: Policies are in accordance with U.S. IRS regulations.

Mail stock certificates unsigned and by registered mail to the Foundation's street address:
Send stock/bond power form separately from stock certificate (available from broker) to the Foundation. Signature on stock/bond power form must match title on certificate. All owners of stock must sign form.
Closely held securities:
Policy: Donors of securities not publicly traded must first obtain an outside appraisal of the gift.
Sending gifts: Send independent appraisals to the Foundation, including name, address and intended use of gift. Proposed gift will be reviewed by the Foundation's Gift Acceptance Committee and a determination made.
